James Jorge is a versatile and genre-fluid musician who has been a vibrant presence on stages throughout the Hudson Valley and New York City. Raised in a musical family and influenced by Brazilian rhythms and his Hispanic heritage.  James Jorge began his professional career in Santa Fe, NM, finding his voice on bass guitar, upright bass, and guitar, before returning to the east coast.  

Comfortable across jazz, Latin, salsa, funk, R&B, and world music, James brings deep groove, rhythmic intuition, and expressive energy to every performance. Whether anchoring a jazz trio or driving a high-energy fusion set, his playing is rooted in feel, connection, and musical conversation.
